Wholefoods Market opens new central London store
Natural foods retailer Whole Foods Market has opened a new central London store at Piccadilly Circus as it continues to expand across the UK.
A relocation of the existing Soho store, the shop is the retailer’s latest opening after Giffnock in Glasgow last year. The company is also planning to launch new stores in Cheltenham, Fulham and Richmond in 2012/2013.
The Piccadilly store will create around 70 new jobs and the retailer has also relocated the 70-strong team from the Soho store. The new store features enlarged grocery and bakery sections as well as a new health and beauty section and 40 seat café.
Jeff Turnas, regional president for Whole Foods Market UK said: “We’re delighted with our new Piccadilly Circus store. Our Soho store has had a loyal following over many years and this new location allows us to expand our offer and show our central London shoppers the most convenient, highest quality, all-natural grocery store in town.”
