Whittard offer talks end

The Board of Directors of Whittard of Chelsea has announced that it is no longer in talks with
potential buyers regarding a possible offer for the Company
On 12 July 2005 Whittard announced that it had received approaches which “may or may not lead to an offer being made for the Company”.The disclosure of talks prompted other parties to express their interest. Initial interest in an offer for the Company waned following the Central London terrorist attacks and the subsequent drop in visitor numbers, on which Whittard relies for its main trade.
