Whiteley signs up a raft of retailers
The Whiteley shopping centre in Hampshire has signed up a raft of new retailers.
Owned by British Land and Universities Superannuation Scheme, Whiteley has seen Tiger upsize to a new 3,200 square foot unit on a ten year lease.
Meanwhile, Tiger’s former unit is being reconfigured and split to accommodate two new stores of 1,100 square feet. The first store will be taken by jewellery brand Pandora while Australian stationery retailer Smiggle will take the second unit for its first store in Hampshire. The new shops will open in July 2015.
Other brands due to open at the centre include Specsavers, which has signed for a 1,650 square foot store on the ground floor with a 1,400 square foot mezzanine. The brand will join Ernest Jones which has recently opened a 1,700 square foot unit at the centre on a ten year lease.
Work is continuing on the shopping centre’s £18 million leisure extension which is due to open in autumn 2015.
