White Stuff launches local language website in Germany

Lifestyle clothing brand White Stuff has launched a local language website for the German market.

Managed in-house by White Stuff, the transactional site has been designed to cater for the preferences of German shoppers following a period of research.

The website features the same capabilities as the company’s UK site including delivery and returns. While orders will be sent from the UK in two days, returned goods will be handled through a German location.

The new site will be promoted through a multichannel marketing campaign.

White Stuff head of ecommerce Ben Mercier said: “As a multichannel player with two stand-alone shops in Germany already and a roster of further shops opening in the next 12 months, a German website seemed like a natural progression, enabling us to market products locally, in the native language and currency.”

The company has recruited a number of German speaking staff for the business including four working in customer service roles.
