White Company reports record year
The White Company has reported a record year with operating profit up 51% to £17.3 million.
In the year to March 2016, sales grew by 12.6% to £184.3 million with the UK business achieving “robust” growth across all channels. The company said its US direct business also performed well.
Some of the best performing categories included fragrance, daywear and home and dining where sales increased by 29%, 16% and 26% respectively.
New stores opened in Marylebone, Leeds, Liverpool, Bicester and Chelmsford have all exceeded expectations.
White Company chief executive Will Kernan said: “This year we continue to invest in enhancing our customer’s experience through world class new stores across the UK and on our award-winning website.
“The results in the current financial year continue to reflect the efforts made by the team to delight our rapidly growing, engaged customer base.”
