Whistl appoints new Executive Chairman and CEO
Whistl has restructured its senior leadership team with the appointment of a new chairman and a new CEO, following its recent growth and diversification into ecommerce fulfilment.
The company has appointed Nick Wells as executive chairman of the Whistl Group. He will focus on the strategic direction and growth of the overall business.
Meanwhile Alistair Cochrane now becomes chief executive officer. He previously held the position of chief development officers at Whistl and was operations director at Parcelforce Worldwide before then.
Nigel Polglass will continue as chief operating officer at the company and Manoj Parmar as chief financial officer.
Whistl has become the largest private logistics firm in the UK and is on target to become a £1 billion turnover business, the company claims. It now has 2400 employees across 22 sites in the UK.
