WH Smith’s travel business partners with King Power in Hong Kong
WH Smith has embarked on a new franchise partnership King Power Group (Hong Kong) for its international travel retail business.
The partnership will enable the book and stationery retailer to develop its brand and concepts across Hong Kong as part of plans to grow its presence in Asia.
WH Smith international chairman Louis de Bourgoing said: “We are currently present in six countries in the region: Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Philippines, India and China, with excellent business partners and we are delighted to welcome King Power Group as a new franchise partner. With 35 years travel retail experience in Asia Pacific, Europe, North America, the Middle East and the Indian sub-continent, King Power Group (Hong Kong) employs more than 10,000 people worldwide and operates more than 1,000 stores across the luxury fashion, duty free, food and beverage, and specialty retail categories.
