WH Smith opens at Fiji’s Nadi Airport
Book and stationery retailer WH Smith has opened its first airport store in the Fiji Islands at Nadi Airport.
The airport attracts around 1.2 million passengers each year who travel to other Pacific Islands, South Korea, Hong Kong, New Zealand, Australia and the US.
The store is operated by WH Smith’s franchise partner The Tappoo Group which is a prominent retailer in Fiji in both high street and travel locations.
The 50 square metre store is situated in the airside departures lounge of the international terminal and a second landside store is set to open later this year.
The new store increases WHSmith’s presence in Fiji and complements its store in Tappoo City, adjacent to the cruise port of the capital Suva, and a further store in the ferry port in Nadi.
The opening marks the 30th airport in which WH Smith now operates outside of the UK.
