Wex opens flagship store in Glasgow

Specialist photographic retailer Wex Photo Video has relocated its Glasgow shop to create a flagship in the city as it continues to invest in new stores in the UK.

Situated in a new modern building on Bath Street, the store  will sell a range of photo and video products, including cameras, lenses, bags, tripods, printers, memory cards, filters, studio accessories and lighting. It will also offer items from specialist categories such as astronomy and optics as well as a selection of fully tested used equipment.

Due to officially launch on 29 and 30 April, the 4,088 square foot space will be what the retailer says will be the largest camera store in Scotland. It will also feature a fully enclosed seminar room that can host over 30 people for events and demonstrations. In addition, separate areas have been created to allow customers to ‘touch and try’ the latest gear.

Louis Wahl, chief executive at Wex Photo Video, said: “We are thrilled to return to Glasgow and delighted to be launching a new flagship, the biggest camera store in Scotland. The opening signals our sustained investment in bricks and mortar, allowing us to offer an unrivalled product and service range to customers in all corners of the UK.”
