Wed2b ties the knot on new store at Hinckley’s The Crescent

Wedding shop Wed2b has signed up for a new store at The Crescent Hinckley.

The retailer is moving from Burbage into a new 5,000 square foot unit at the new development in Hinckley town centre early in the new year.

Founded in 2009, Wed2b now has ten stores across the UK and stocks around 1,000 designer wedding dresses.

Pete Aldridge of Wed2b said: “Burbage was where it all started for the company and we have really gone from strength to strength since then – it’s a concept that thousands of brides have really bought into over the years.

“We are very fond of our store in Burbage but when we saw The Crescent was taking shape, we thought the time was right to make the move to brand new, spacious and airy premises.

“It’s all about improving the customer experience so our brides can browse the hundreds of fabulous wedding gowns, bridesmaids dresses and wedding day accessories in a relaxed, enjoyable environment.

“The way we operate helps to keep prices low but our standards are very high – among the highest in the bridal industry.”

Wed2b is planning to open on Friday 22 January and will join the already open Cineworld, Sainsbury’s and Elbow Room.

TK Maxx, Prezzo, Simply Gym, Costa, Rossini, Loungers and Poundland have also signed up to The Crescent and will  open in the New Year.

Tony Baker from The Crescent’s developers, Tin Hat Partnership, said: “This is a great addition to the Crescent and is excellent news for the town centre too. Wed2b draws shoppers from around the Midlands region so the development and the town will benefit from that.”
