We Are Pop Up partners with Etsy to launch ShopShare scheme in Italy

Digital property marketplace We Are Pop Up is targeting the Italian market with the launch of its shop-sharing service in the country.

The company has teamed up with Etsy Italia, the Italian arm of the handmade marketplace, to offer up and coming brands an opportunity to move into’ bricks and mortar’ and test the Italian retail market through the ShopShare initiative.

The scheme involves property owners renting out a whole shop, part of a shop, or even a railing space, to small businesses and established brands.

Since it was formed in 2013, We Are Pop Up has helped create over 1,500 pop up shops across London, the UK and Europe.

The launch of ShopShare has already seen 14 available spaces in Rome and Milan being registered with We Are Pop Up which are aimed at brands looking to test a concept in Italy or launch a product to the Italian market.

Nicholas Russell, chief executive of We Are Pop Up, said: “We are very excited to bring ShopShare to Italy. Our concept has proved successful in London and it is time to give brands the opportunity to test the Italian market and create new collaborations on the continent.”
