Waterstones launches social click & collect campaign
Waterstones is running a new social marketing campaign as it looks to raise awareness of its click and collect offer in the run-up to Christmas.
As part of the campaign, the bookseller has created a series of tongue-in-cheek images invoking characters from literature who are either ‘planners’ or ‘wingers’.
‘Wingers’ include the White Rabbit from Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland, and Bridget Jones from Bridget Jones’ Diary, while The Shining’s Jack Torrance is used as an example of a ‘planner’.
Waterstones is now showcasing these images on Twitter with the hashtags #winger and #planner.
Emma Grinter, online marketing manager of Waterstones, said: “At Waterstones we have a broad range of delivery options. We can deliver to your home or work or alternatively we have hundreds of bookshops throughout the UK where your order can be delivered. Ordering online and opting for a shop delivery or click & collect are simple and easy solutions to getting your book quickly from your local shop while still paying the online price.”
