Easter lines performing ahead of forecast
Wal-Mart expects April same store sales growth of between 4 and 6 per cent in its core US operations, after strong Easter sales got the month off to a good start.
The world’s biggest retailer said its sales were running at the high end of expectations after the week to April 12 saw strong US sales of food and Easter seasonal items.
Sales of Easter apparel and decorations are also running above forecasts.
