Waitrose plans new stores

Waitrose has secured sites for three new stores in Sutton Coldfield, Cardiff and Shrewsbury. All have been taken on fifteen year leases with the deals brokered by King Sturge.
The Sutton Coldfield store measures 5,000 sq ft and is due to open later this month.
The Cardiff store will open on 28 April in a prime retail spot in Queen Street and will have a ground floor sales area of 3,300 sq ft.
In Shrewsbury, a Waitrose convenience store will be housed in two units previously occupied by the Post Office and Burger King. The ground floor sales area will measure 3,629 sq ft. The store will open in May.
