Waitrose opens second cookery school
Waitrose has opened a new cookery school at its food and home shop in Salisbury.
The opening follows the launch of the supermarket’s first cookery school in Finchley Road in London four years ago.
With courses beginning on 29 November, the new school will offer the same experience as the London school and will offer a wide range of foodie courses, chef demonstrations and tastings.
Best-selling one day, half day and evening courses from the original school will be available such as Beginner’s Bread Baking, Knife Skills and The Perfect Steak. New one-hour mini master classes will also be introduced.
Never Miss a Retail Update!Head chef at the Salisbury school, Claire Lanza, has previously taught at the Waitrose Cookery School in London. She will be joined by chefs Gerard Malloy, who was most recently at Le Manoir aux Quat’ Saisons, children’s cookery specialist Sarah Buck, and Jessica Wooldridge who has previously worked at the Royal Opera House in Sydney.
The school will also be offering gift certificates ranging in value from £25 to £200.
