Waitrose MD Mark Price named as deputy chairman of Channel 4
Waitrose managing director Mark Price has been appointed as deputy chairman of Channel 4.
The news comes just days after it was announced that Price is to become deputy chairman of the John Lewis Partnership, while continuing his managing director role at Waitrose.
Price has been a non-executive member of the Channel 4 board since October 2010 and has been appointed for a three-year term. In addition to his roles at Waitrose and the John Lewis Partnership, he is also chair of The Prince’s Rural Action Programme and chairman of Business in the Community.
Lord Burns, chairman of Channel 4, said: “I am pleased to welcome Mark to the role of deputy chair of the Channel 4 board. He has been an excellent member of the board for the past three years and is well equipped for this important role.”
