Vision Express puts Nottingham Trent students to the test
Students at Nottingham Trent University were invited to put forward ideas for the redesign of a Vision Express store as part of their final year coursework.
Thirty-five undergraduates on the BSc Surveying degree course at the university spent a day at Vision Express’s headquarters in Ruddington as part of their Real Estate module.
After a briefing from Hannah Farr, regional estates manager from Vision Express, they used the on-site store as the basis for the task.
The event finished with an Apprentice-style boardroom test, where the students had to present their proposals.
Farr said: “We are setting the coursework for the final year Real Estate module. As part of that, we asked the participants to review a location and come up with a relocation plan or a new store. They then had to present their ideas back as if they were in a real board meeting.”
The latest event is part of an ongoing relationship between Vision Express and the university.
