Typo to open three UK stores ahead of Christmas

Typo, the Australian stationery and gifting retailer, is to open three further UK stores prior to Christmas.

Having initially launched in the UK online in 2015, Typo has since opened stores in Westfield Stratford City and in Kingston’s The Bentall Centre.

The new stores will open in Bluewater, Cambridge and Bath.

The retailer offers a range of quirky stationery and gifts including travel and tech accessories, bags, lighting and décor items and novelty cards and gifts. All items are designed by Typo’s in-house team of creatives.

Typo sad it has doubled the number of UK customers shopping with it online year-on-year and that online trade is driving the demand for more stores in key locations.

Newly appointed UK brand manager Sally Howard said: “We’re thrilled to be expanding our UK footprint. Since the opening of our Stratford store in December last year, we’ve seen great traction both online and in store with sales soaring beyond all expectations. Our new stores in Bluewater, Cambridge and Bath have been selected based on key areas of growth for us and they will create 12 jobs per store.”
