Tribesports teams up with Parkrun

Performance sportswear brand Tribesports has embarked on a five-year brand partnership with the weekly free running movement Parkrun.

With 850,000 runners, Parkrun has five highly coveted clubs that runners only join when they have hit a specific running target. The brand partnership will see Tribesports provide these club members with technical quality milestone t-shirts – all free of charge.

Parkrun founder Paul Sinton-Hewitt CBE said: “We chose to partner with Tribesports for our famous milestone t-shirts because they embody our ethic of perseverance and persistence as well as being of the highest quality. Moreover, they share our passion for the everyday athlete and desire to grow engagement with grassroots running and sports activity for all ages.”

Tribesports chief executive Steve Reid added: “Tribesports is dedicated to championing grassroots heroes. Teaming up with Parkrun to reward each runner who reaches a significant milestone with free quality performance wear beats the hell out of astronomical spend on pro sponsorship for us, every time.”

Never Miss a Retail Update!

Tribesports and Parkrun have also announced that for the first time a volunteer t-shirt will be made available.

Reid said: “The Parkrun movement couldn’t exist without the volunteer teams that labour tirelessly week in week out. These are the people that keep people in their local communities moving, and they deserve to be rewarded and celebrated.”
