Travis Perkins saw its third quarter sales grow by 9.1% at its consumer division which includes Wickes and Toolstation. On a like-for-like basis sales were up by 6.3%.
The group said investments in better value, ranges, its supply chain, stores and delivery services helped both retailers to outperform the market.
Across the wider Travis Perkins group, total sales growth was 3.4% with like-for-like sales increasing by 2%.
John Carter, Travis Perkins chief executive, said: “The strength of the group’s balance sheet and the competitive advantage we have created through the investments we have made position us well to continue outperforming the markets we compete in and drive shareholder value over the medium term.”
