Tortilla chooses Silverburn for first outlet in Scotland
Mexican themed dining brand Tortilla has opened its first outlet in Scotland at the Silverburn shopping centre in Glasgow.
Situated at the entrance of the centre’s 100,000 square foot leisure extension, Tortilla’s 58 cover restaurant is the brand’s 27th in the UK.
Tortilla’s property director Rob Lucy said: “The leisure extension at Silverburn is the perfect platform for our expansion plans in Scotland. The location itself benefits from a wide consumer base and the new restaurant launch has been a huge success for the brand. We anticipate the visitors at Silverburn will appreciate the new look Tortilla, especially designed for the unique location at the gateway to the prime dining area.”
The line-up of new restaurants within the new leisure extension include a 14-screen Cineworld cinema and brands such as Thaikhun, Carluccio’s, Chimichanga, Cosmo, Zizzi, TGI Friday’s, Five Guys, Handmade Burger Co., Pizza Hut and Nando’s.
Sarah Fox, head of restaurants and leisure at Hammerson, added: “We are thrilled about the opening of Tortilla and choosing Silverburn for their Scotland debut. This offer will certainly appeal not only to the local catchment but also to customers from further afield, and ensure visitors return again and again.”
