Torex and PMC announce contract extension
Torex Retail Holdings Limited has announced the extension of a five year contract with PMC
The retail systems specialist and PMC will work together on promoting, delivering and supporting Torex™ Retail-J, an integrated, web-enabled suite of in-store and central applications.
Under the new contract, the two companies will ensure that retailers benefit from a broad range of skills and expertise from within the two parties. As a specialist, independent provider of IT solutions and services to the retail sector, PMC will continue to provide guidance and expertise to existing customers, while building its Retail-J client base with the support of Torex.
Torex Retail-J is an integrated, web-enabled suite of in-store and central applications suited to the needs of medium and large retailers. Using the latest tools and technology, Retail-J offers real-time central management and control of POS and PDAs, giving retailers visibility into trading performance, lower cost of ownership and a robust platform for business information requirements.
PMC’s extended relationship with Torex will mean retailers will have access to the maximum level of expertise needed on the complex issues they currently face such as PCI compliance, multi-channel shopping and international expansion.
By working closely with Torex and offering impartial testing of the product, PMC will also feed into the development of Retail-J and ensure it continues to be a market leading solution.
Huw Thomas, MD of PMC, explains, “There are very few solutions on the market that fulfil the same specifications as Retail-J. We find the Torex product to be a highly competitive, innovative offering. The increased focus on collaborating with Torex will help us to realise the full range of benefits the solution offers and satisfy the requirements of an increasing number of retailers.”
Helen Slaven, VP of Retail for Torex, comments, “We are delighted to be extending this relationship at a time when Torex Retail-J is showing unprecedented growth coinciding with the introduction of increased multi-channel functionality and new international capabilities.”
