Topshop to launch in US Nordstrom stores
Topshop, the Arcadia owned fashion chain, has set up a joint venture with the Nordstrom chain of department stores in the US.
The partnership will see 14 Nordstrom stores selling a broad assortment of Topshop and Topman merchandise from September.
The Topshop and Topman departments will have mannequins, visual merchandising and store fixturing supplied from the UK. As well as a full selection of Topshop and Topman clothing, the departments will also sell a range of limited-edition pieces created especially for Nordstrom. In addition, an expanded merchandise selection will be available online at nordstrom.com.
Arcadia’s Sir Philip Green said: ”I believe Topshop and Topman offer the Nordstrom customer something very different and unique with our signature British fashion authority. With new pieces being delivered from our design team on pretty much a weekly basis – the ability to buy fresh, must-have looks every time a customer visits is key to our brands’ point of difference. I admire what Pete and his team do at Nordstrom and I look forward to working with them to create an exciting and dynamic retail partnership.”
Never Miss a Retail Update!Pete Nordstrom, president of merchandising for Nordstrom, added: “Topshop and Topman are internationally renowned leaders in fashion and we are thrilled to start a relationship with them that we hope will grow and prosper over the years. We think our customers are going to love their take on trend-led fashion at great prices.”
Topshop and Topman have flagship stores in New York, Chicago and Las Vegas and plan to open a new store in Los Angeles in spring 2013.
