Topshop hires Jacqui Markham as global design director

Topshop has appointed Jacqui Markham to the newly created role of global design director.

Markham is making a return to the fashion retailer after working for nearly two years as design director at Asos. Prior to that she worked with Topshop for over 14 years.

In her new role, Markham will work alongside creative director Kate Phelan and will oversee an in-house design team of 60.

The new position replaces the design director role previously held by Emma Farrow who is now brand director at Finery London.
