Topps Tiles appoints new non-executive director
Topps Tiles has appointed Andy King, the Notcutts Garden Centres chief executive, as a non-executive director. The tile and wood flooring retailer said that King would join its board on 23 January.
Prior to joining Notcutts in 2007, King held global marketing director roles at The Body Shop, Mothercare and WH Smith, and also spent nine years at Boots.
Commenting on the appointment, Michael Jack, Topps Tiles chairman said: “Andy brings to our board a strong track record in retailing with a broad base of experience gathered from appointments with a number of well-respected retailers. In particular, his marketing background will enable Andy to make a significant contribution towards helping us to further develop our strategy and deliver our goal of extending our market leading position.”
Last month Topps Tiles appointed former McArthurGlen HR director Claire Tiney as a non-executive director.
