Tom Tailor Q2 retail sales up 26%

Tom Tailor, the German menswear brand, has reported a 26% increase in second quarter retail segment sales despite the volatile spring temperatures.

On a like-for-like basis sales increased by 9% while the company’s online shop reported a quarter-on-quarter sales rise of almost 50% following a successful TV advertising campaign.

In the first six months of 2012, Tom Tailor increased its retail sales by 34.8% while on a like-for-like basis sales grew by 13.2%.

Dieter Holzer, CEO of Tom Tailor said: “In the first half of 2012 Tom Tailor once again grew faster than the market as a whole. Alongside our retail stores, the e-shop played a particular role in this growth as it benefited from a strong boost through our TV campaign. Our consistently realized expansion strategy combined with clear trend management and the strengthening of our brand are paying off.”

Never Miss a Retail Update!

Tom Tailor operates 269 retail stores across Europe and plans to open between 60 and 70 new shops in 2012, primarily in Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
