TK Maxx to open in Mell Square Shopping Centre, creating 30 jobs

A new flagship TK Maxx store is set to open its doors in Mell Square, Solihull next spring 2011 in a significant anchor letting for the centre.

GCW and Cushman & Wakefield acted on behalf of Aviva to secure the deal on a 10 year lease.

Works are about to commence on the store, which will combine two existing units; the former Bonmarche and Pure Party stores, creating nearly 16,000 square feet of designer and high street labels in a new ladies-only concept.
Commenting on the new Solihull ‘Woman’ Store, Spokesperson for TK Maxx, Helen Gunter says: “We are very excited to be opening up a new store in Solihull.  We’ve created a boutique feel to the store to create a more intimate shopping experience that’s in keeping with a smaller store environment.

“Ladies will still find the same big choice of high street and designer fashion and accessories at up to 60% off the RRP, but we hope they will also love the little feminine touches we’ve added with them in mind. From softly curved walls to decorative mirrors, they can leave husbands, boyfriends and friends sitting comfortably in the seating areas, while they go bargain hunting. “

Mell Square Centre Director Paul Round added: “We are thrilled to be welcoming TK Maxx to Mell Square, adding to the centre’s already strong womenswear offering.
