TikTok’s UK shop launches pets category
TikTok’s shop in the UK is introducing pet care products for the first time.
Items from brands such as Mars Petcare, Nestlé Purina and Lily’s Kitchen are now available through retail partners on the platform.
TikTok said its users “can’t get enough of pet content” with the #DogsOfTikTok and #PetsOfTikTok hashtags racking up billions of views between them.
Products available in the new category will include pet food, accessories, treats and supplements. To celebrate the launch, top creator Katylee Bailey hosted a live shopping event yesterday where she talked through her must-have products and recommendations.
Patrick Nommensen, senior director, ecommerce operations at TikTok, said: “Pet content plays a huge role in making TikTok the joyful place it is today, and we know the TikTok community loves nothing more than sharing their pets with the world. By introducing pet care products to TikTok Shop UK, our community will now be able to explore and discover new pet content and stock-up on essential pet care products from leading brands.”
