Tiger to open at Peterborough’s Queensgate
Danish homewares brand Tiger is to open a new store in the Queensgate shopping centre in Peterborough.
Situated adjacent to John Lewis, the 3,085 square foot shop will open in the spring.
The opening means that a total of eight brands have committed to Queensgate in the first year of Invesco’s ownership and Lend Lease’s asset management of the centre.
Lakeland opened a 2,773 square foot store last autumn in a relocation from the town centre. In addition, Bodyshop has opened a 1,157 square foot store and Trespass is currently fitting out a 2,514 square foot unit that will open this spring.
Meanwhile, restaurant brand Handmade Burger Co is due to launch a 3,942 square foot restaurant at the centre. The outlet will be its second in the region.
Guy Thomas, head of retail leasing at Lend Lease, said: “Tiger, handmade burger Co and Trespass are great additions to Queensgate, strengthening the centre’s quality retail and dining offer. All three are in-demand brands perfectly suited to the demographic at Queensgate. Together with the other additions, we have made a significant amount of progress in the last 12 months repositioning Queensgate, and Peterborough with it, as a major regional destination for leading brands.”
