Tiger appoints Xavier Vidal as chief executive
Tiger, the Danish homewares and accessories retailer, has appointed Xavier Vidal as its new chief executive.
Vidal will succeed Christian Mariager who is leaving the business to become more active as a non-executive director outside of Tiger.
Vidal has joined Tiger from beauty retailer The Body Shop where he was managing director of EMEA. He has also previously worked with Sainsbury’s and Tesco.
Ole Andersen, chairman of Tiger parent company Zebra A/S, said: ”It will be very exciting to start working with Xavier Vidal whose personality and experience make him a strong fit. Tiger will continue the last years’ rapid store expansion, sales growth and simultaneous strengthening of the organization.
Never Miss a Retail Update!“In that context, I would also on behalf of the Board of Directors like to recognize and thank Christian Mariager for his great contributions to Tiger’s development the last years and wish him continued success in his new career.”
Tiger operates 411 stores in 25 countries including the UK.
