Thorntons makes FD role permanent

John Wall steps up to permanent post
Thorntons has upgraded temporary finance director John Wall to the post on a permanent basis.

Wall took up the FD role at the confectionery retailer on an iterim basis in October. He has carried out a number of interim FD appointments, with his career also including a stint as group finance director of casualwear brand Lee Cooper.
Christopher Burnett, executive chairman of Thorntons, said : “The board is delighted to welcome John Wall to the business. He has already begun to make a valuable contribution as a member of the executive team, to which he brings a wealth of experience.”
