The Rug Company appoints new Marketing & Sales Director
The Rug Company, pioneer of the designer rugs concept, has appointed Richard Eagleton as Marketing & Sales Director.
Eagleton joins The Rug Company from AGA Rangemaster, where he was Group Marketing Director. Prior to that he worked for luxury brands Alfred Dunhill and Wedgwood. At The Rug Company, Eagleton will be responsible for building the company’s luxury brand status both at home and overseas.
Backed by Piper, the consumer brand specialists, The Rug Company said it plans to open three new international stores in 2011 and will announce a major UK venture “within weeks”.

The Rug Company was founded in 1997 by husband and wife team Christopher and Suzanne Sharp and now has 17 stores wordwide.
