The Retail HR Summit held on 1 October

Here Paul Deeprose gives a roundup of this year’s Retail HR Summit.

“I was pleased to moderate the 2020 Retail HR Summit which this year focused on topics that have been critical discussion points for all HR professionals in these challenging and exceptional times.

“The day started with a truly insightful panel discussion on exceptional HR leadership in times of disruption, which was followed by practical legal advice and guidance on all aspects in the new world of work. While legal frameworks are vital, the next panels on wellbeing and engagement brought to life real examples of how retailers have been supporting their colleagues to help them cope and thrive in post-lockdown working environments. The engaging day’s sessions concluded with a view into how we should prepare our people for the future.

“As a final word, I was lucky to interview Helen Dickinson, chief executive of the British Retail Consortium, who in this video discusses some of the challenges and opportunities her members have faced over the last six months and shares her view of the short term future for retail HERE
