The Grafton Centre appoints new centre manager

The Grafton Centre in Cambridge has appointed Russell Hall as its new centre manager.

Hall was most recently managing a shopping centre in Northampton after working with a number of organisations within the retail industry.

In his new role, he will work closely with Grafton Centre owners Legal & General Property to drive forward the recently announced refurbishment of the centre and lead the management team on-site.

Tom Williams, senior asset manager, Legal & General Property, said: “We are delighted to welcome Russell on board, whose appointment comes at a very exciting time for The Grafton. Russell will not only take responsibility for the day-to-day management of the centre but will also be instrumental in realising our vision for a much improved shopping, dining and entertainment experience to our visitors.”

The Grafton will stay open for the duration of the £18.5 million refurbishment which is planned in two phases.

With expected completion in summer 2017, the first phase of the work includes improvements to the Fitzroy Street entrance and Central Court.

The second phase includes the refurbishment of The Great Court and the creation of a new restaurant quarter to complement the recently refitted Vue Cinema.
