The Entertainer signs up to Flemingate

Toy retailer The Entertainer is to open a 5,200 square foot store at the new Flemingate shopping centre in Beverley which is due to open later this year.

The shop will be situated opposite Debenhams at the Wykeland scheme. Others brands recently signing up to Flemingate include H&M, Costa Coffee and Zizzi.

Gary Grant, founder and managing director of The Entertainer, said: “Flemingate is a very exciting prospect for The Entertainer, and Wykeland’s vision to create something quite distinct in the catchment area really stands out. We are in an ideal position in the scheme and are looking forward to opening what will be a key store in our expansion in the region.”

According to research by CACI, the 162,561 square foot retail and leisure development will increase Beverley’s market potential by 60%.

Dominic Gibbons, managing director of Wykeland Group, said: “The strategy for Flemingate is to establish a first class, modern shopping and leisure destination. The addition of nationally-known brands such as The Entertainer and Costa is another key step in achieving that vision.  Both are highly regarded brands that will appeal to Flemingate’s extended catchment.”
