The Entertainer holds ‘quiet’ hour’ to create calm environment for children with autism
Toy retailer The Entertainer is holding a quiet hour each day in its UK stores this half term as it looks to create a more calming environment for children with autism.
Running until 23 February, The Entertainer will be switching off music in its stores during the first hour of opening.
Gary Grant, founder and managing director of The Entertainer, said: “We always strive to make our stores a happy place for people to visit and we have for some time been exploring ways in which we can make The Entertainer a more comfortable place for autistic children. The Entertainer is somewhere for children to explore their imagination and become inspired by all of the toys available and so we hope by introducing our quiet hour, more families will feel confident when it comes to shopping with us.”
The quiet hour will be held in all 145 of the retailer’s stores over the half term period.
