The Entertainer hires Phil Geary as marketing director

Toy retailer The Entertainer has appointed former Holland & Barrett executive Phil Geary as marketing director.

In his new role Geary will hold full board level responsibility for The Entertainer’s marketing and online departments.

Geary worked for Holland & Barrett for ten years during which time he held a range of senior buying & marketing positions. Most recently he was group marketing director for Holland & Barrett’s parent company NBTY where he oversaw the marketing and online functions for over 900 stores across the UK, Ireland and Holland. After leaving Holland & Barrett in 2013, Geary worked with parenting club Bounty.

The Entertainer managing director Gary Grant said: “We are very excited that Phil has joined us at The Entertainer. He is uniquely qualified for the role due to his previous achievements and experience within the retail sector.  The marketing and online departments are two of the most critical functions in driving the future growth and success of our business and I believe Phil has what it takes to accelerate our progress in each of these areas.”
