The Entertainer, Fat Face and STA Travel take stores at Drake Circus

The Entertainer, Fat Face and STA Travel have all taken new stores at the 570,000 sq ft Drake Circus Shopping Centre in Plymouth.

Fashion brand Fat Face has taken a 4,322 sq ft store at the British Land operated shopping centre, while toy retailer The Entertainer has opened a 4,400 sq ft unit.

The Entertainer managing director Gary Grant said: “We felt Plymouth and the centre itself offered a strong retail position for our store as it attracts large numbers of family shoppers who are demanding more toy shopping choice on the high street and within shopping centres. We look forward to bringing joy and wonder to the children of Plymouth and we have plans to increase our presence in UK and will announce further plans soon.”

Meanwhile, travel agent STA Travel has signed for its first UK shopping centre store at the centre as it looks to broaden its UK reach beyond its traditional student roots.

Lauren Obbard, asset manager for British Land, said: “Drake Circus’ strong trading profile makes it an obvious choice and we are pleased to welcome three strong brands to further strengthen and broaden the retail line-up.”
