The Cotswold Company expands into Northern Ireland

The Cotswold Company has expanded its premium delivery service to customers in Northern Ireland as part of its strategy to strengthen its position in the UK.

The premium furniture retailer has selected a local delivery company to launch its white glove service in the region.

Founded in 1996 and backed by True Global, The Cotswold Company has recently launched a ninth UK showroom in Bath, and plans to open a tenth site later this year.

The company said its online expansion into Northern Ireland will enable it to pursue new growth opportunities and deliver against its strategy to become one of the UK’s leading lifestyle homeware brands.

Alan Joseph, chief operating officer at The Cotswold Company, said: “We’ve seen increasing interest from customers in Northern Ireland in recent years and first started trialling a handful of orders last summer. It was a great success with very positive outcomes but required changes to our systems, customs arrangements and logistics, as well as new staff training to ensure we replicate our high-quality service.

“Now, however, we believe we have a fantastic offer with which we can pursue new growth opportunities and have a strong blueprint for future expansion across the British Isles, supporting our strategy to become one of the UK’s leading handcrafted furniture and homeware brands.”
