Tesco trials Click & Fit tyre service at Bletchley store
Tesco is trialling a new Click & Fit tyre service at its Bletchley Extra store.
Working with Blackcircles.com, the supermarket has installed “Pit Stop” fitting bays at the store where customers can have their tyres changed in an hour.
To use the service, customers order their tyres and arrange an appointment through the Blackcircles website before dropping their car off at one of the bays.
Customers will be able to collect Clubcard points on the transactions, with a typical transaction of £250 resulting in the collection of up to £40 of Clubcard rewards.
Never Miss a Retail Update!Peter Cattell, category director, petrol filling stations and forecourt services at Tesco told Milton Keynes Citizen: “This is a great opportunity for us to work together with Blackcircles.com to offer our customers a unique service – the ease of ordering online, the convenience of being able to shop at Tesco while their tyres are changed on-site, great prices, and Clubcard points too.”
Mike Welch, managing director and founder of Blackcircles.com, added: “This deal is great news for UK motorists. With so many tyre sizes, makes and models these days it’s a lottery whether the high street tyre shop has your tyre in stock or the time to fit you in when you get there.
“By bringing together the Tesco Clubcard offer and convenience of the Tesco store locations with the Blackcircles.com business model and supply chain we have been able to create an appointment based market leading Clicks & Bricks tyre service for UK motorists. This proposition could prove to be a game changer for the UK tyre market.”
