Tesco launches modelling series UK exclusive on Clubcard TV
Supermarket giant Tesco is launching its first TV series exclusively to Clubcard members following a deal with digital entertainment curator FilmBuff.
The nine-part Elite New Face modelling series follows the intensely emotional journey of a group of contestants from the Elite Model Look contest.
The series shows the aspiring models making the journey from regional castings through to the World Final where winners are picked to take part in their first Fashion Week. Created in 1983, Elite Model Look attracts hundreds of thousands of participants every year from over 70 countries.
Elite New Face is being made available free-of-charge to Tesco’s 16 million Clubcard members on Clubcard TV, the online movie and TV service which Tesco launched earlier this year as a way of rewarding its customers.
Never Miss a Retail Update!Developed by the team behind the Tesco movie and TV service Blinkbox, Clubcard TV is supported by targeted advertising based on users’ shopping habits. The service includes content from BBC Worldwide, Aardman, Endemol and Warner Bros.
Scott Deutrom, MD of Clubcard TV, said: “We’re thrilled to offer our first Clubcard TV exclusive. The Elite New Face series is a must watch for anyone interested in this exciting competition and the fascinating world of modelling. We hope this will be the first of many great exclusives for the growing number of Clubcard members discovering their new TV service.”
