Tesco launches ad push for Hudl2
Tesco has launched a new ad campaign to support the unveiling of its Hudl2 second generation Android tablet.
The series of six ads, created by Tag, aim to position the device as an entertainment hub that brings people together, while highlighting its specifications and features.
The ads show friends enjoying the tablet in various real-life scenarios, including a competitive pair playing games, a group of girls giggling over a dating app, and three friends in fits of laughter playing a charades app.
The first ad made its debut on ITV during last night’s The Chase. Three ads will feature online via a YouTube take-over on 12 October while the remaining ads will be rolled out further online.
Never Miss a Retail Update!Sharry Cramond, proposition and brand director at Tesco, explained: “We know our customers want easy, accessible technology that the whole family can enjoy. Our ads reflect just a few of the entertaining things people can do on their hudl2, while highlighting the product’s fun personality and availability for everyone.”
Dan Rampulla, account manager at Tag, added: “We focused on things we know this group already love to do on their tablet, from watching films to playing games. Capturing genuine reactions and interactions from real people rather than actors has given us really rich and entertaining content.”
