Tesco appoints Liv Garfield as non-executive director

Tesco has announced that Liv Garfield, the chief executive of BT Openreach, is to become a non-executive director of the supermarket chain.
Garfield has worked for BT since 2002, holding a range of senior strategic and operational roles before being appointed as CEO of BT Openreach in 2011.
Prior to BT, Garfield worked for Accenture as a consultant in the communications and high tech market unit.
Garfield will join the Tesco board on 1 April.
In a statement Tesco said that Garfield would bring “valuable experience of new and emerging technologies” to the board.
