Teleperformance wins major award for UK CSR
Teleperformance, the outsourced customer experience management company, has been honoured with the top award for Corporate Social Responsibility for its operations in the UK at the recent NOA Awards Ceremony at the Grosvenor Square Hotel in London.
In September 2006, Daniel Julien, Teleperformance founder and worldwide chairman, formally announced an expansive social responsibility programme, which incorporates the charitable initiatives Citizen of the World – (COTW, 2006) and Citizen of the Planet, focused on the environment – (COTP, 2008) at the Clinton Global Initiative.
The focus for the NOA award was UK’s support of the ‘COTW’ initiative, a multi-faceted programme that contributes to global efforts to meet the basic survival needs of some of the world’s most vulnerable children with the ultimate aim of helping them them to reach their individual potential.
NGOs and business analysts have recognised that Teleperformance has achieved, and currently maintains, clear industry leadership in CSR commitments and results.
Never Miss a Retail Update!Teleperformance is the first and only company in its industry to participate in Clinton Global Initiative and to have exceeded its commitments every year.
Alistair Niederer, chief executive of Teleperformance UK and RSA, said: “Beyond the company’s business performance, the NOA judges were impressed by the scope and scale of Teleperformance’s commitment to leverage its resources, capabilities and people, across the UK to improve lives and environmental conditions. This award also reflects and celebrates the hard work and commitment of many teams and individuals across every site within our UK business who support local and national charities and organise regular events and volunteer days.”
