Tchibo strengthens UK foothold
Three new stores for European retailer
November 15 2003
European retailer Tchibo is opening three new UK shops in time for the key Christmas sales period.
The new stores, opening this month in Dalston, Redhill and Chatham, create 18 new jobs.
The stores combine Tchibo’s core coffee shop offer with its unique approach to product retailing which sees the range change every Wednesday. The product offer focuses on quality homeware and fashion.
The products, which are sold in its stores across Europe, are sourced exclusively by Tchibo’s buyers, with the changing in-store offer combined with a catalogue and online operation which spotlights the full range
David Haimes, Managing director, Tchibo UK, said: “The new stores are part of Tchibo’s on-going expansion plans in the UK. We now have 34 stores in the South of England as well as a successful mail order and online offering.”
