SuperGroup appoints Penny Hughes as non-exec director
SuperGroup, the owner of the Superdry fashion brand, has appointed Penny Hughes as an independent non-executive director as it works towards becoming a global business.
Due to take up her role on 1 April, Hughes is currently a non-executive director of the Morrisons supermarket chain and The Royal Bank of Scotland where she is chair of the Sustainable Banking Committee.
Hughes has previously held non-executive director positions at Home Retail Group, Gap, Next and The Body Shop as well as Thomson Reuters Group, Vodafone and Trinity Mirror.
During her executive career Hughes spent 10 years at Coca-Cola, initially as marketing and commercial director, before being made president of Coca-Cola Great Britain and Ireland.
