Stylo goes into administration

The parent company of high street shoe chains PriceLess and Barratts was formally placed in the hands of administrators Deloitte yesterday.

Stylo had failed to receive the backing of its creditors and landlords for a restructuring plan that it said would have seen about 150 stores closed in an attempt to turn the company around.
Stylo operates 400 high street shoe stores in the UK under the Barratts and Priceless brands, employing 5,450 staff in total. It also has a headquarters in Bradford, Yorkshire.
