680 redundancies across business
The administrators of department store group Allders are to cut 680 jobs across the business, including 471 from stores.
Administrator Kroll said the job losses at stores were necessary to reduce overstaffing at stores, and would be made across the 45 store chain.
Another 209 workers have been made redundant at Allders’ Croydon head office as well as its logistics operations.
Kroll in an “advanced stage with bidders with regard to 34 stores and all 45 stores remain open”. Closing down sales continue at stores which have yet to attract any potential buyer.
