Steamery names new chief executive
Steamery has appointed Raphael Matzker as its new chief executive officer as it looks ahead to accelerating its global expansion.
He has taken over from Steamery co-founder Frej Lewenhaupt (pictured right) who has taken on a new role within the company.
During the last three years, Matzker (pictured left) has been working as chief commercial officer at the clothing care specialist where he expanded the brand’s wholesale and distribution network, helped it to enter new markets, and structured the company for sustainable growth.
Prior to that, he held numerous international positions, including a leadership role at MediaMarktSaturn Retail Group.
After heading up the business since 2021, Lewenhaupt will now return to his role as chief product officer, which will include leading Steamery’s in-house design team. Steamery said the company has developed “immensely” under his leadership but is now ready to accelerate expansion.
Lewenhaupt added: “Raphael has been an invaluable member of the Steamery team for the past three years. He has defined the strategy that he will now be leading, and both I and the entire organization have complete confidence in him. I couldn’t be more excited to see where he takes Steamery in the years ahead.”
