Steamer Trading launches online store

Independent cookware chain Steamer Trading has opened its first online store.

The new transacational website features the retailer’s range of specialist products for cooks including brands such as Le Creuset, Joseph Joseph and Kitchen Aid.

In addition, there is a range of buyer’s guides answering kitchenware-related questions from ‘which knife should I buy?’ to ‘do I need to season my frying pan?’. The site also includes product recommendations from Michelin-starred chefs Phil Howard, Tom Kerridge and Russell Brown, and potter Emma Bridgewater.

Steamer, which operates 28 stores across the UK, has also created an A-Z of cookware for the website which explains how everything is used from an avocado masher, to a duck press, to a zabaglione pan. The alphabet is also on Pinterest where Pinners can view favourite recipes that require the use of each item.

Ben Phillips, managing director, said: “We’re thrilled to finally have Steamer Trading online. We’re so much more than a cookware shop and I truly feel that the site will be a place where food lovers come for inspiration and advice, as well as to purchase their favourite products.”
